Volunteer

There are various roles at Christmas Hamper HQ.
-
Assembly: Assemble and wrap boxes
-
Fill: Fill and label hampers
-
Load: take donations and hampers to and from the service area (involves lifting)
-
Deliver: accompany the van driver for deliveries to distribution hubs and collections from the Foodbank (involves lifting)
Most volunteers do a mixture of roles. Please let us know if there are one or more roles that you would prefer to do and if there are any that you would like to avoid (eg if lifting heavy items is difficult). Sadly, we can only accept volunteers aged 16 or over.
The shifts are from 9.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm on Monday to Saturday throughout December. We ask that you join us for the full shift, because it helps us to plan activities in line with the number of volunteers who will be working.
We will be putting together and delivering hampers on Monday to Saturday throughout December. The number of volunteers for each shift is guided by the size of the unit and the number of collections and deliveries that we will carry out on that day. The calendar below shows the roles that we still need to fill for each shift and the shifts for which we already have all of the volunteers that we need (marked Full).
